Hot Stones Massage

A Hot Stone Massage is a truly relaxing treatment using hot stones of varying sizes on parts of the body – from the forehead to between the toes - giving a deep massage and creating a sensation of warmth and comfort. The heat from the stones feels great and is also wholly therapeutic - helping detox the body and relaxing the nervous system.  The stones used are smooth, volcanic basalt that retain their heat on the body for as long as possible.

warm bamboo massage

Warm Bamboo Massage

This is a massage that uses warm bamboo sticks to provide a firm massage. The bamboo cane is held by the therapist and long flowing strokes are used as the bamboo is rolled over the muscle, instead of the therapists' hands. Different sizes and lengths of bamboo are used during the massage. The benefits of a warm bamboo massage can include:

Pregnancy Massage

Indian Head Massage

Hopi Ear Candling

This treatment is the use of ear candles that act like a chimney drawing away vapour and any impurities from within the ear. Candles are a natural alternative to syringing.  A massage of the face, neck and scalp can also be included.  Conditions for which candles can be useful:

  • sinusitis, headaches and migraines
  • excessive or compacted ear wax
  • colds or flu

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is offered in Broughty Ferry by Elizabeth Taylor who qualified at the Aberdeen School of Shiatsu.  
Shiatsu is a therapeutic practice that can support individuals in moving towards greater health and well-being.Shiatsu is a safe, non-invasive form of treatment and the client remains fully clothed either lying down on a futon or seated on a massage chair.  Our clients have found it useful to help with:
